History of Poker
 |
Poker initially started in 1377 according to various reports. A Swiss man, John RHEINFELDON keep a record of a card game played in this year, thus with a 52-deck of cards. Like today, the ranking of cards or value was rated at one to 10.
Later, China’s people keep record of 950 card games played. However, China did not use 52 cards according to reports to play the games. For the most part, China used cards to play dominoes.
The origin of the game of poker actually reported with the REHINFELDON. Since the origin of poker, many card games where played that did not coordinate with poker. The games played did not include wagering. Still, other games were recorded, which included the “Teen Patti” coming from India. The card game composed 52-cards, as well as wagering. As well, the poker game included ranks, and other commonalities that most poker hands include.
The English card game “Brag,” was likely the start of common poker games. The game included flushes, blinds, jackpots, and more. The rules of Brag were similar to today’s poker, as well the ranking of cards familiarized with poker games played today. The players would often deal out three cards, and sometimes five to each game player. The players would also call other players ‘bluff,” which was common in later history of poker play.
Still, poker did not come into play, until the Frenchmen set the mark for suits. In other words, Clubs, Spades, Diamonds, and Hearts were invented in the late 1400s.
While others played types of poker in this time, it wasn’t until the mid 1800s did the game Riverboat come into focus. During this time, Westerners played poker in bars, backyards, and in homes. If a player were caught, cheating a fight would break out and sometimes people would die. At the same time, 3-Card Monte and Stud Poker hands came into focus as well.
Some believed that POCHE deriving from Germany and French started up the term poker. The foreigners employed the term “POKE,” which few believed started the “Cheating and Lying Games.” According to logic, the term put forth poker in full light.
Hold ‘EM and various other types of Stud Poker came into focus during the early 1900s. Today, we have scores of poker games online, where more than 200 games are offered at casinos. The origin of the game poker then became a possibility to future games in the 1300s, but it wasn’t until later did poker actually take hold of a full world spread light.
Most of our poker games, such as roulette, blackjack, et cetera originated in France. The Frenchmen played the poker games in many ways. There was not a deck of cards available, so the Frenchmen would create their own way of playing the games. Later, other people in different countries caught onto the games and began creating their own way of playing poker. Germany expanded the game. Later, the poker games became well known in the United States of America. However, many areas outlawed poker. It wasn’t until later that the United States of America started accepted gambling and poker. Now, casinos are opening the doors in many areas of the world. In fact, up around Michigan City, the Four Winds Casino just opened their door. The Indians fought hard to get the casino in that area. Blue Chip and many other casinos are open today in lands that poker at one time was forbidden. To learn more about the history of poker, visit the Internet casinos.
